The IAIS (International Association of Insurance Supervision) launched a public consultation on March, 14 concerning the supervisory application document focusing on diversity, equity, and inclusion (hereinafter referred to as “DEI”) profiles of the insurance companies.
The document in public consultation highlights how respecting the DEI profiles is relevant to corporate governance and risk management and fosters improvements in prudential requirements.
Additionally, the document outlines aspects for supervisory authorities to consider when examining the DEI strategies of an insurance company, as well as potential warning signs.
The public consultation will continue until June 14, and stakeholders can provide feedback within this period by accessing the IAIS website.
