September 2026 – PG Legal on the French Riviera: Cannes and Monaco Take Centre Stage

September 2026 will once again see the international yachting community gather on the French Riviera for two of the industry’s most important events.

The Cannes Yachting Festival, taking place from 8 to 13 September, will open the autumn season with more than 700 yachts on display across Vieux Port and Port Canto. As Europe’s leading in-water boat show, Cannes continues to be a key meeting point for the industry, offering visitors an early look at new models and world premieres while creating valuable opportunities for business and networking.

Attention will then turn to the Monaco Yacht Show, held in Port Hercule from 23 to 26 September. Dedicated to the world of superyachts, the show brings together owners, family offices, shipyards, brokers, designers and professional advisers. It provides a unique setting in which to discuss acquisitions, new-build projects, investment opportunities and the strategic partnerships shaping the future of the sector.

On 23 September, PG Legal will sponsor the IYBA SuperYacht Law Summit and Gianfranco Puopolo will moderate one of the panels. The event will feature leading experts discussing some of the most pressing issues facing the industry, from changes in the global market and their legal implications to strategies for resolving brokerage and commission disputes.

PG Legal’s Superyacht Team will be present at both Cannes and Monaco to meet clients, colleagues and other industry professionals. The team advises clients throughout the entire lifecycle of a yacht, including sales and acquisitions, new-build and refit contracts, financing, ownership structures, tax planning, crew employment, charter operations and dispute resolution.
