On the proposal of IVASS, the Ministry of Economy and Finance – by issuing two decrees published in the Official Gazette of the Italian Republic no. 185 of 9 August 2023 – has determined the amount and payment methods of the fee required for 2023 from companies engaged in insurance and reinsurance activities, to be paid to the Supervisory Authority.
The deadline for payment, which can only be made through the PagoPA system in accordance with the methods described on the IVASS website, is 11 October 2023.
An exception is made for undertakings with their operational headquarters in the areas recently affected by the floods, who will be able to make payments until November 20th , 2023.
In addition, all foreign undertakings that cannot use the PagoPA system can make payments directly by bank transfer to the company Unimatica, which generally handles the collection of IVASS contributions.
