Legal trade journals such as TopLegal and LegalCommunity have recently announced the relaunch of PG Legal’s Insurance Team, confirming it as a benchmark for Italian and international clients in the insurance sector, both in litigation and advisory matters.
The new structure is led by Gianfranco Puopolo, partner and founder of the firm, who is a key reference point for corporate and extraordinary operations in the insurance sector.
Lorenzo Ranieri, partner and head of litigation, has extensive experience managing complex disputes, including in transnational contexts. Angelika Lentsch works in the regulatory & compliance area and specialises in assisting companies operating under the freedom to provide services, particularly those from Austria and Germany, benefiting from her native German language. Domenico Rinaldi, partner and tax expert, specialises in insurance taxation for foreign companies active in the Italian market.
Also part of the team is Federica Colarieti, senior associate with over thirty years of experience in insurance litigation in both life and non-life lines, including D&O, medical malpractice, professional indemnity and financial lines, with strong expertise in managing complex transactions.
Giuseppe Digiesi, of counsel, has significant experience in insurance litigation, strengthened by many years working within a leading Italian insurance firm. Rosa Abbate specialises in maritime law and Marine & Cargo insurance, while Alessandra Cantamerli, senior associate, has particular experience in litigation and out-of-court resolution of disputes in contractual and non-contractual liability matters. The practice is completed by Gaia Parisi, junior associate.
The relaunch of the insurance team is part of a broader growth strategy for PG Legal. In this context, the firm is actively working to expand the practice by recruiting lawyers specialised in insurance law, particularly with strong regulatory and compliance experience, in order to further strengthen the services offered to Italian and international industry players.
